The Challenge

LeaseHappy is a platform focused on helping users compare lease offers from multiple providers. The primary challenge was to design a clean, intuitive, and trustworthy interface for users to digest complex financial data and confidently select the best option.

  • Financial Complexity: Presenting multiple, nuanced financial quotes (price, term, residual value) in a clear, easily comparable format.

  • Trust and Conversion: The UI needed to build confidence and structure the comparison experience so the user felt secure enough to move forward with a quote.

  • Information Architecture: Structuring the various comparison options and filters (term, mileage, vehicle types) into a seamless, low-friction flow.

The Goal

Collaborate with the founder to design the product vision and build a platform that simplifies lease offer comparison, driving higher conversion rates and a clearer user experience.

Solution and Key Features

The solution was a highly visual and filterable comparison platform designed to handle complex data with simplicity. I focused on designing clear components and logic to simplify the user's decision-making process.

  • Comparison Interface: Designed a clear interface that allows users to compare offers with filters and brand options.

  • Anonymous Quote Form: Created an anonymous quote request form to manage customer contact preferences and reduce friction for early-stage users.

  • Clarity and Trust: Focused on clean, intuitive component design to reduce confusion, particularly around various vehicles, lease terms, and updates.

  • Mobile Responsiveness: Ensured the design was mobile-first to accommodate users browsing on the go.

Key Takeaways

  • Simplifying Complexity: Successfully translated highly complex financial data (lease quotes) into a simple, high-impact user interface, maximizing clarity and minimizing cognitive load.

  • Strategic Collaboration: The project involved close collaboration with the founder to shape the product vision, ensuring the design not only looked good but also met the core business goal of comparison and conversion.

  • Foundation for the Future: Delivered the entire product architecture, ensuring the foundation remains a clear user-first vision that can be easily implemented for the future.
